Sunday Worship
9:00 AM Traditional Worship Service - Worship our Lord in a more traditional setting, featuring the familiar creeds and hymns of our faith.
10:00 AM Sunday School
11:00 AM Celebration Service - Join us as we lift His Name on high in a contemporary worship setting with praise and worship music featured.
6:00 PM Sunday Evening Worship Service
Additional Services - Special services are held throughout the year to celebrate the different times of our church year, including Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Easter, and Christmas Eve. See our Calendar for dates.
Lives are formed and transformed in small groups when people meet

Sunday School Classes
We offer Sunday School classes for all ages. Sunday school starts at 10:00 AM. A nursery is provided for parents with small children under the age of four.

Reflection - Senior adults class
Sojourners - Discussion class that is working its way through the Bible
Doorway - Discussion class on a variety of topics geared to day to day living

Children’s Ministry
Children’s Music - Our children sing and practice every Wednesday evening. The children present periodic performances for the congregation.
Wednesday Evening Discipleship Training - For Pre-K through 4th graders.
Vacation Bible School - Every year our children get excited about VBS, held in June. Our children learn the stories of Jesus in a new and exciting way. Music, skits, Bible studies, fellowship, and good food, are some of the fun filled activities our children will enjoy.

Youth Ministries
United Methodist Youth Fellowship - We have a very active Youth Program. Our MYF, for 7th graders through high school, meets every Sunday afternoon from 4-6 PM. MYF involves studying the Word, participating in planned activities, outdoor games, and special programs .They are also involved in local mission projects. The youth also meet during our regular Wednesday night church program for Bible study.
Pre-Teen Club - This is a discipleship ministry for our 5th and 6th graders to prepare them before they enter the youth program.

Music Ministry
Bell Choir- Practice is weekly at the Church. Mary Ann Mason is the Director.
Praise Team- Enjoy making a joyful noise? Join the Praise Team as they meet every Thursday evening from 7:00 – 8:00 PM. Darryl Wood is our Praise Team Leader.

Bible Studies
Various small group studies have been conducted at BUMC. They are generally organized and taught by lay members to meet specific needs of the congregation.

Overs & Unders
This is a group of people, 50 over or under, who like to go out and fellowship. We meet the second Thursday of each month at 12:00 noon at different places to share a meal and a short program. Come and join the fun!

After-Church Lunches
What Methodist church would be official without covered dish lunches? Every three months, there’s a church wide Quarterly Lunch featuring the best cooking from the best cooks! We’ve even got our own cook book to prove it! A perfect time to make new friends.

Gushers
A very willing and dedicated group of Christian men and women share their time as BUMC Gushers (greeter and ushers). Gushers greet people, hand out bulletins, answer questions, assist seating worshipers, and help with special functions (communion, funerals, Christmas Eve and Easter, Ash Wednesday, music programs). Contact the church office if you’re interested.

BUMM - United Methodist Men
The mission of the United Methodist Men is to assist men to know Jesus Christ, to serve Him, to grow spiritually, and seek daily to do his will. The Bemiss United Methodist Men organization has along history and has been recently revitalized. BUMM provides men an excellent opportunity for great fellowship and service to the Lord.

BUMW - United Methodist Women
United Methodist Women is an organization of approximately one million members. The Bemiss United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Missions
Hispanic Ministry - Bemiss United Methodist Church pioneered Hispanic ministries for our Conference of the United Methodist Church. We fully support the current ministries in our areas. Tony Mallory is the contact person.
